Meet Your Camp Choreographer
Desiree LaNiece
Desiree LaNiece's dance journey began in her intermediate school, which offered a magnet program
for fine arts. This early exposure to dance laid a solid foundation for her future endeavors. During her
high school years, she joined the drill team and rose to the position of dance officer in her junior and
senior years. This role allowed her to train with renowned choreographers and judges in the
entertainment industry from "So You Think You Can Dance", "Step Up", "Stomp the Yard" and more.

Shortly after graduating high school, Desiree's talent and dedication led her to become a
professional NBA dancer for the Houston Rockets. Her career has since flourished, giving her
opportunities to perform at major events such as Oprah Winfrey's "Life You Want" tour, teach in
Mexico City, and perform on "Hit My Woah" tour. She also performed as a dancer
for Capitol Latin Records artist J Balvin.

Beyond performing, Desiree has made significant contributions to the dance community. She has
choreographed for local music artists and mainstream film director Michael Artist. Additionally,
she has served as a special guest instructor and judge for Crowd Pleasers officer camp and UIL
dance competitions. Her teaching extends to various middle and high school drill teams in the
Houston area in jazz, hip hop, contemporary, jazz funk, and leaps and turns.

For numerous studios across Texas, Desiree has taught hip hop, jazz, leaps & turns, and
developed successful hip-hop programs. She achieved a 100% success rate for
dancers she trained in becoming dance officers for their drill teams. Her choreography
earned a hip-hop National Championship title in summer of 2023, following an undefeated
regional season in the hip-hop category.

Desiree possesses additional skills in web design, graphic design, and film post-production. She
holds a Bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and a Master's in Business Administration.
As the founder and creative director of the Anti-Bullying Music Video Summer Camp, she is
dedicated to helping dancers build their dance reels and jump-start their resumes.

Desiree LaNiece remains an influential public figure in the dance community, solidifying her
reputation as the "go-to" hip-hop choreographer in Houston.
